Umm a breed that wont die easily :) and is very friendly

Won't die easily? Well, that depends on your definition of easily. If any chicken is neglected or malnourished or injured, it can die. Barred Plymouth Rocks are hardy birds, my favorite breed for friendliness and intelligence as well as laying ability; Delawares are great, too. Silkies are not hardy birds, overall (and in my opinion not real chickens, LOL). They are friendly, though, as are Cochins.

I like buff orpingtons, barred rocks and australorps. They are good all around birds, the buffs are good broodies and have good temperments but my very favorite are the mille fleur bearded d'uckles- I love their little diva personalities and they make good little broodies too!

I have red sexlinks, barred rocks, japanese black tails, a banty leghorn and a banty white rock and a black sexlink. My least favourite personality-wise are the japs, but they are the prettiest. My most favourite is the black sexlink.....she's sweet and gorgeous with her black feathers that catch the light outside and turn blue and green plus her red laced chest. I would have to say my second and third favourites are the banties....they are the friendliest. For all purpose birds, I think that the barred rocks or the sexlinks are the best all-round birds for everything.

I bought a bunch of different kinds so that I could see what I liked and what I didn't. That's always an option.
