I've had good luck with Garden and Poultry dust. I saw some little things, (I think were mites) a few months ago on my arm after holding one of the chickens, so I got some Garden and Poultry Dust from Tractor Supply. It was kindof an ordeal trying to catch them all to sprinkle them. Quite a mess actually. So, what I've been doing is every few weeks I rake up their favorite dusting spots to loosen the dirt really well and sprinkle them heavily with the Poultry dust. This way they naturally dust themselves. It's worked beautifully and I have not seen anymore bugs on my chickens.
