Whats the best feed for egg production???

Hello...we have 14 hens that our 18 weeks old. Some are already laying. Just wondering what feed everyone has the best results with? Should I use crumble or mash? Should I mix a handful of oyster shells with their feed????

I use crumbles, just because that is what they are used to...and I have a separate container with oyster shell on the side, they will eat it when they need it..chance are if you mix it in, a lot will get wasted.

At least this is what I do..
