What's the best incubator?

I do have the digital thermometer/hygrometer combo. It works great. I will have to look around and see if I can find any of these nearby. I see the three favorites of everyone so far are the Hovabator, Genesis, and Brinsea. Thanks everyone!

It's really much more incubator than I need, but I had a hard time finding something that held a bit more than my hovabator that wasn't a whole lot more expensive.

I'm hoping to do some contract hatching for people, once I'm sure this thing does its job well. I also have some really good stock (mainly seramas) so more live chicks mean more money I can recoup. And if I get out of chickens, god forbid, the resale on an incubator like this should be pretty good!

All that said, if I have really important eggs, and I have a reliable broody, she get's the job. Get a small army of silkies an cochins. You'll be all set for 1/10 the cost!

However, used ones are often on sale for VERY low prices on ebay. Even here on BYC someone sold a Brinsea DX 40 ($400) for $55. It CAN be found in budget.

Great point! I looked around Craigslist and Ebay a bunch, and could never find what I wanted. You'll see those Repti-pro ones on ebay, which are getting some good reviews from BYCers as well. I haven't seen them or tried them, but they seem to be quite affordable for the degree of sophistication you get. I think they now advertise on here are are an official sponsor of BYC.

And there is nooooo shortage of enablers around here. None at all.
