What's the best way to get rid of moles?

All these home made ideas don't work . forget the gum, gas and everything else. You are wasting your time. Buy a scissor trap. they aren't legal to use in the state of Washington anymore. But the stores still sell them. I have a friend that has caught 48 moles in just over two years using the scissor trap. easy to use and NO mess at all to clean up

My cat catches both. A huge mole dug a huge hole next to one of my fence posts in the front yard. I had no more than commented on what the heck dug that hole??? then found a huge mole on the porch the next morning.....big and ugly. Love that cat!!!

I expect he didn't have to dig to find it but caught it when it exited the hole.

Out here in Washington, moles are indestructible. They're everywhere. . . No matter if you want them or not. Our cats kill a couple every now and then, and planting mint over the holes works a little better than putting cat fecal matter down there, (

) but otherwise. . . Nothing seems to work for good out here. I guess after a while I just have to live with it, and use the excess dirt for gardens in need.

There's only one thing that worked for me-mole stink bombs. They look like a fire cracker, you light it, put it in the hole, cover the whole. The tunnel fills with sulpher gas. You can buy them at HD and Lowe's, almost everywhere.

I leave my moles alone. They eat grubs and stuff and the tunnels in my yard aren't hurting anything any worse then chickens scratching and dogs digging and goats stomping around..... I prefer to think of it as "aerating the soil".

A stick of juicy fruit gum in an active hole. They eat it (I don't know why) and can't digest it. If you don't want to kill them, but just want them to move out of your yard urine soaked kitty litter down the holes works pretty well. They don't move very far though so your neighbors may not appreciate your efforts.

Works well with gofers too. Or whatever those things are that dig up the lawn. My X used to put the used litter in the holes and it would drive them away. I don't know why such a thing would work. Seems odd.
