I have 4 hens who were hatched around the same time... I'm thinking the same parents. However, Emily looks different from the other 3 SLW's. She's the one in the forefront... see how her head and neck is all puffy and the others are all smooth? Just wondering what the deal is. She is so different, she almost looks like a different breed. Her head almost looks like an eagle.

Here's another that's not such a great pic, but shows her neck a bit better.

Thanks for any info.

Cool, so maybe I'll get some blue eggs???

I'd be happy with ANY eggs at this point. They're only 4 months old, but it seems like I've been waiting forever!

Maybe. The way I understand it is that the father determines what color egg his daughters will lay...So if the father was an EE or Americauna that carried the blue/green egg strain, then you very well might get some blue/green eggs...

E E for sure. I have five of them and all look like they posed for the quarter!! I have told my DH all along they look like eagles. The hatchery told me they were Americaunas...now I get confused on which ones have no butts?? I know these are eagle/like that is the only thing I know for sure. ha

From what I've been told true ameraucanas have slate colored legs and EE's have green legs. That one does look like my EEs.
