what's the difference?

I was wondering what the difference between Blue and Self Blue Silkies are. I can't seem to figure that one out.

If you breed Blue to Blue (commonly known as andalusian blue because of the dark edge to the feathers) - it gives you blue, black and splash chicks.

If you breed self blue to self blue (commonly known as lavenders do not have dark edges and are consistent in color all the way through) - you get self blue chicks.
