whats the most annoying response you get when people find out you have chickens?

Just today I wore my "chillin with my peeps shirt" and got lots of "oh boys" and laughs. It's all good

Most people I tell think it is awesome and have tons of questions. It is probably area specific though. I am in Southern California where the backyard chicken thing has really taken off. ;-)

Thanks everybody! I will continue to be totally in love with my little flock. It's nice to know that responses pretty much vary all across the board. Ya know, with all the bad responses-i'm kinda hoping for a zombie apocalypse, I bet they'll appreciate my gals then lol. I've decided not to share my eggs though- if people can't appreciate my peeps-no yummy eggs for them!

This whole thing kinda reminds me of a children's book where there is a chicken that is making bread and all the farm animals either laugh at her or refuse to help. Then she bakes the bread all by herself and the other farm animals want some-then she tells them "I made it by myself now I'm eating it by myself" lol does anyone else remember that story? Lol

I remember that story!! I think it was called "The Little Red Hen". I have been getting mostly positive responses from people about my chickens, usually they just ask to buy some eggs.

Yup the little red hen, I love that story! I've gotten different responses, nothing too bad though. I don't really care what others think anyway though. I love my girls and if they don't then so be it. I bet they wouldn't mind having my girls breakfast!
