Have not built my coop yet...still in the thought/drawing process lol.....But the name is gonna be Best Lil Hen House In Cali.(...can ya guess what movie I got it from lol)

my dh likes Chick-inn, i'm partial to Egg-plant. guess we'll make a decision with more input from friends n family and christen it with a name when it's completed and the chickens go in.

My --first-- coop was made from a box-shaped pine desk and a matching chair picked up at Goodwill. The desk top popped up to make the roof,
the chair was reassembled to make the floor, and the whole thing, when done, was called the "Oval Office".
My husband hates the name, but I get lots of appreciative clucks from it

When I first began keeping chickens I had a food/spice theme going with their names. Usually pertaining to their colors. I had a Cinnamon, Pepper, Nutmeg, Grits, Quiche, Omelette, Souffle, Meringue, Triscuit, etc. I had a glossy Black Austrolorp that I pondered several appropriate food names for, before the inspiration struck to name her Eggplant.

While doing touch up paint on my new coop today, the name of the coop suddenly came to me. It has as much to do with the process of building this coop as it does with the soon-to-be inhabitants. Drum roll, please.....Winging It!
