What's the point of raising your Coop off the ground? My Thoughts / Asks

I'm having mine off the ground because I have limited space and want to get the most out of it. I can't free range too often and I know from my friends who have a similar setup to what I want, and the chickens definitely use that run space. I'm not planning on a wire bottom at all and am just going to use a solid floor with shavings.

Got a few reason I dont have my coop on the ground. Water can pool, causing mold to grow which can make the chicken sick. It can also make the chicken coop deteriorate much faster.

I have snakes in my area. Rattlers being among the list, but also many others. The coop needs to be high to at least give snakes a harder time getting in if they happen to get in the area of the coop at all.

The coop being off the ground gives better air flow underneath the coop and also creates a nice space for geese or ducks for shade.

Lets not forget about rats...

Overall, it creates an environment that makes it easier to maintain the chicken coop which makes it last much longer. Ideally, you never want wood touching the ground. If not for the chicken then for the sake of saving money.
