aha i just found this so NVMI think my 3 yr old pilgrim goose is eggbound What is the dosage GC for her? I give my ducks 1ml as needed. Goose weighs about 10 lbs
Is this only something you need to give if they are egg bound? Not some sort of supplement? Want to make sure I’m not missing something. As it is, they eat the chicken food half the time.aha i just found this so NVM
The amount I give is ~0.2 ml per pound of bodyweight, which is 100 mg/kg.
Math for 1 pound:
1 / 2.2 x 100 / 230 = ~0.2 ml
Math for a five pound bird is:
5 / 2.2 x 100 / 230 = ~1.0 ml

Yes this isn’t necessary all the time, but you should provide crushed oyster shells on the side all the time as the calcium supplement for geese/ducks/chickens (and maybe other laying birds I don’t know I only have those 3) they will only eat some as needed. The males won’t eat it. The calcium gluconate is a liquid given orally that can help an egg bound goose or duck etc to lay her egg.Is this only something you need to give if they are egg bound?
