What Mug Are You Using Today?

Good morning, Happy Black Friday!
I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. Due to my daughter’s work schedule we are doing our Thanksgiving dinner today. At noon. So I’m up early doing some last minute prep. Yesterday was my first ever relaxing Thanksgiving!

Here is my newest mug from Goodwill. Going to use it this once and then put it away until spring. Today is my official “get out the Christmas stuff” day. View attachment 4257950

Here is a mug I got a couple days ago at Michael’s. $12.99 on sale for $4.99!

I had a second mug, a snowman, in my hand, and I set it back on the shelf because there were a lot of them and I wanted to think about that one a bit. Well I thought too long and when I went back to get it, ALL of them were gone!!

I thought maybe the staff were relocating them, because they were setting up a lot of Christmas displays. There was a shopping cart nearby that had them all in it. But then a customer walked up to that cart, so I asked her if she was buying all the snowman mugs and she said yes.

So then I went over to where the staff were setting up displays and asked them if they had any more. Nope. They only had those 6 in stock. They looked up what other stores had some (which I had already done in my app) and yeah, if I wanted to drive 25 minutes in any direction, there were some. Not worth the drive.

However, yesterday as I was making my errand list for today, it worked out that I can choose to go east, and so I decided to add the east direction Michael’s to my list. So I placed an on line order for pickup and got two snowman mugs, plus some other stuff. (Their on line sale prices are always better than the in-store sale prices, so even if I’m in the store shopping, I always buy on line and then wait around until my pickup is ready. Usually I have other errands in the same shopping center, so I don’t have to drive back.)

So, I will have a new mug to post tomorrow!
