Finally get to see a blue sky today! All last week when family was here it was lows in the mid to upper 30s,highs in the 60s and rain. Today it's 44 right now calling for a high in the 70s. TO early for this weather!!
I want New England fall!!!!! Here in Texas its still in the 90s, and mid 70s at night. Ike looks to be heading straight for Texas, so if we weather the storm, next week should have highs only in the eighties. Growing up in the northland, I still expect September to bring cooler weather and I'm always ticked off by what Texas serves up. But, come February when every relative I have is freezing their hienies off, I stand in my yard and say "God, I love Texas".

I was so cold last night , I finally got the little space heater out and warmed up the bedroom for a while. Thats on top of the down blanket I have been using. I need to find my heating pad and heat my bed up before I get into it from now on.
northeastern MI, just south of the 45th parallel... 42f at 7am last 2 mornings, slowly creeping back to the low 70s in the afternoon today (that's what they say, anyway).
Got the 85 watt red light on in the coop now and have been closing the windows at night. Otherwise, no sign of snow yet.
Oh my goodness! With most of you talking about pulling out blankets and 42 degrees...I'm sitting here sweating to deathand have mosquitos and gnats eating me alive. I think I donate a pint of blood every evening while watering my plants! Its been humid and around the low 90's and will probably be that way for at least 3 or 4 more weeks but at least I dont have to shovel snow
