What's the weather like where you are?

We're in Wisconsin... supposed to have 80s, humid and rain/thunderstorms as far out as the weatherman predict

We've got Cornish X in pens in the hilltop field and Dark Cornish in the brooderhouse. This morning the power went out at 4 a.m. so after about 40 min. the Dark Cornish (6 days old) started piling... I went in with a furry blanket and pitched a "tent" over them with me on the side to warm them and my husband started a little propane burner to heat the brooder house. The birds spread out a bit and some snuggled against me for warmth, and the burner started warming the house up. The temps were in the 60s, so we probably would have been o.k., but I got worried with them piling. The power kicked on another 20 min. or so later and the babies started getting up and moving around, heading for the heat lights and food. All heads came up out of the pile of birds and my husband started humming the theme from Rocky!

Then I went up on the hill to feed the Cornish X... lightning hit REALLY close and I found myself looking for a place to hide! Whew! I'm betting it's going to be a LONG week!

I am in north central Arkansas and it has been in the 90's since a week ago. The humidity is up there too but the last few days we have had pretty good winds all day so if you can find a shady spot and a lawn chair is isn't to bad. I hear it is supposed to be like this until the end of next week too! I have to work just the weekends so I am off all week to enjoy with my peeps.

It's been windy & somewhat cloudy,so that helps a little.

It's raining and chilly, no sun for several days. We have a couple of dry days and then fall back into a rainy pattern. Oh well, it's why Oregon is so green.
