Whats the weirdest thing your chickens have eaten or tried to eat??

My 7 month old bantams ate a whole citronella candle out of the bucket. Unfortunately they don't eat the mosquitoes! I hope it doesn't hurt them they seem ok.

The craziest thing Ive seen them try to eat is my toes when they are all done up with toe nail polish. I learnt the hard way not to wear flip flops into the run area, LOL Also Ive seen them pick at and attempt to eat a long piece of duct tape, but I put a stop to that as soon as it started. In thier run, there used to be a dog hut that was burried into the ground, and when we pulled it out there was a ton of carpet burried deep in the soil. Rather than take days to dig it out, I just took some soil from the compost and burried it over....so I thought. Since then it has been unearthered and shredded to pieces!

George loves wasps, and the hen staying with him just nailed a Japanese Beetle. She's like, 'oh! Look what I got! Look! Look!'

My Delaware ate a mouse the other day, which I now know is fairly common. But, watching her swallow a mouse whole took me by surprise!

That is a pricelss photo. Hahah that just made my day.
