My cockeral has this on both his feet, the other birds don't have..............HELP PLEASE

I've seen rooster's legs get super red when they get excited.

It could be scaly leg mites, but I doubt it.

It looks more like this, but more fresh red spots, around the legs, it looks painful

Is he still eating, drinking, and otherwise acting normal?

Red legs can be caused entirely by hormones. Could you post a pic of the bird in question?

Mites cause lifting of the leg scales, and you could see a crusty buildup around them.

He is eating and acting normal.
I'll get a pic today of him, thats if he will let me catch him

It does not look like scaly leg mites, I know what that looks like
