I ordered 10 Narragansett turkeys for myself and 10 standard bronze for my sis in law. Any tips on how to tell them apart?

If they already came and you mixed them together....good luck!!!!!!

If they have not arrived yet, theymay be packed in seperate halves of the box, and if your lucky, they may even be labelled.

At five or six weeks, the narragansett secondary feathers will slowly begin to lighten. You will think its your imagination at first, but eventually, the naragansett backs will turn a lighter gray then the bronze backs. But until then, I can't tell them apart. When I first got a mix of the strains, I pretended I could tell them apart by how dark the stripe on the back was. I had some mortality, so I thought I was getting way more bronze than narragansetts. When they grew up, I had twice as many narragansetts as bronze, so that didn't work.
