I've heard that it happens from time to time, but it seems my girls are the queens of the double yolk eggs! The are Lt Brahmas and started laying the end of August. They are just now starting to get reliable. With 4 pullets laying we are getting 3-4 eggs a day. We seem to have an abundance of double yolkers lately. Yesterday we cracked 6 eggs, 4 of which had double yolks. One of those was a normal size egg, the others slightly larger but not much. We got an egg yesterday that won't even fit in a carton, it is HUGE. I'll take a picture before we crack it, just in case. Is it possible to have a triple yolk egg - or more? If so, I'm guessing this will be it!
Anyone know why we have so many of these eggs? Not complaining, just wondering... Thanks!
