What's with my alpha hen?

I just had to cull my rooster on Sunday and now my alpha hen seems to be taking the roosters place. She has started to crow in the morning and I just caught her mounting my other hen. Any ideas what is going on?

Normal behavior for the alpha hen. Some are more masculine than others.

True enough seen it lots. The alfa hen has her chance to strut her stuff without the king around and have seen the hen mounting hen a lot as well. With chickens it is "monkey see monkey do" IMHO Then of course I seen the mama hen bat the roosters around as well.
She should stop soon once established.... Steve
