What's with the skunks?

Got another skunk in my trap. I;m loosing count. I killed it and burried it and reset the trap I think that makes 8 skunks.

Our skunks don't hibernate here in Florida. And, we not only have the stripped skunk, but we also have the smaller spotted skunk. They are territorial. So, if you get rid of one, you will probably get another. They also thrive in human habitation just like racoons. They will eat just about anything. Another thing to consider is if there has been any recent landclearing/development nearby. This will get them moving around more.
