I just had to chime in with my most memerable telemarketer stories. A collection agency somehow got my home phone number to contact some guy that owed them thousands of dollars, well I answered the phone one day and the lady asked for "bob". There's no "Bob" here you have the wrong number. The lady on the other end of the line started accussing me of lying, she said "I know you know where Bob is, just tell me where we can find him and we will stop bugging you about it". Well this didn't set right with me, I remained calm until the lady hung up on me becasue I wouldn't tell her where Bob was. I called the number back and spoke with her supervisor, that's when I found out it was a collection agency, I assured the supervisor I did not know any Bob, I asked her how she got my number and she said that they did a credit check and my address and phone number came up with that guys name (I had paid to have my phone number "unlisted"). Long story short, I assured her I would be calling the police and making a harrassment complaint if they ever tried to call my house again. It blew my mind that they would call my house and yell at me...
Oh, and I hate talking to computers, give me a foreign accent any day... I always ask for someone without an accent before I even begin doing business.
