It will probably pass on it's own. If it doesn't I just use scissors to snip off the head at the neck. Sorry if that's too graphic. I get everything positioned, look the other way, snip the neck and drop it into the trash. It is very quick and they don't suffer. In the beginning I put a little napkin over their head so I didn't have to see anything either.
I usually hatch all my chicken eggs at 50% humidity. Were these eggs shipped?
