Can anyone advise what's wrong with this chap's wattles? He was dumped in my father in laws garden (with his two wyandottes) . Also can you advise a breed? I think he's a cross/mixed breed, he has impressive earlobes but they are a bit scabby and knobbly. Any info on this boy greatly appreciated. We're going to nurse him back to health then find him a new home. Thanks 😊

Yes, fowl pox, I agree. It is a virus from mosquitoes, and lasts about 3 weeks, and requires no treatment. Most chickens recover. There is a vaccine for chickens not yet exposed.

I agree, it looks like it may be Fowl Pox.
Any photos of all of him and the ladies too?

From what I can see, he looks like a White Leghorn since he's got the white earlobes, but he may be a mix.
Check all 3 over really well for lice/mites and if you or your FIL have an existing flock, it would be a good idea to keep them housed separate from your flock until you have time to observe their health a little more closely.
