what's wrong with lil' peeps eyes?

i got this sweet little silkie from SnM Poultry a few weeks ago. her name is peeps and she is a really neat chicken - follows me around, jumps up in my lap, pecks my leg if i don't give her meal worms fast enough!
i noticed today that her right eye looks funny. it is a little 'bubbly' in the lower corner.

the other eye looks normal.
this is the normal eye:

she is eating, drinking and doing all of her other chicken activities as normal. any ideas as to what it might be and how i can treat it?

(p.s. she is separated now in quarantine from the other chickens until i know what it is/get her better)

update:
i took peeps to see my avian vet who thinks lil peeps got something in her eye and it is just a little infected. so we got meds and hopefully that will clear up the irritation.
i'm glad it doesn't look like something viral! (whew)
