Whats wrong with my duck egg?

Today is hatch day and all the ducks piped early. Yesterday I noticed something new on this egg. There is a grayish brownish line on it. It almost looks like it's the beginning of the air sack

When you say pipped early are you taking internal or external pip? It’s possible the coloring you are seeing is bruising from where the duckling is trying to pip.

Honestly I can’t see a crack in the picture (but usually pics don’t do justice to what we see in person). An external pip usually looks more like a punch. (Think like a raised triangle/star shape, I’ll see if I can find some good pictures)

ETA: Not the best pic, but I zoomed in and circled where one of mine did their first pip. Most of mine had about 3 or so marks like this before they zipped.
