Whats wrong with my duckling?!

I can say she's a skittish little thing. You would think after 4 days of being hand fed she would be a little more tame. I had to feed her little pieces of bread soaked in sav a chic for 4 days until she would finally eat the starter mush I made for her. And after that she would only eat it off a dropper. So basically a week of being hand fed and she acts like I'm a raccoon or fox. That's the thanks I get!

I'll be interested to see what happens here in the next week.

And Kevin- My duck brooder is a crazy mess right now. Just FYI.

Puppy pads have helped control their water flinging messes. But still.

I had a duckling that wouldn't grow once a few years ago. I just left it and eventually it caught up with the others. If its running around and eating and drinking then I'd say to leave it alone, trying to force feed it even more food might be worse.

Don't worry all of my birds ignore me with the exception of my geese. Does she interact with the other chicks?

I couldn't imagine brooding right now. Spring time is the hectic season for me but the babies make it all worth it

Well, I only did because my mallards starting laying late in the year. And I wanted some offspring from their first eggs. Which is dumb I know..
And then after that I caught "the incubation fever".

That's a good sign. Sometimes being a micro can affect mental capacity.
