It is time to work on the rest of the eggs. Start at the top and work carefully like you did with the first one.A long night of dampening membrane and now this. He is giving it a real go! @ronott1 how much time is enough? The 2nd and 3rd egg aren't showing signs and it's been approx 60hrs and 36hrs respectively. They are just chilling in the air cells.View attachment 1148646
The yolk did not absorb well which is an indication that the temperature was off--likely too low. Sometimes I sound like a broken record on this but humidity in the incubator is not the main cause of sticky chicks.
It's like being told for years that saturated fat turns into plaque in your arteries because plaque in arteries looks like saturated fat; ignoring how digestion and metabolism works. What has been learned is that sugar(and other toxins to the liver) overload the liver and it messes up the way the body metabolizes cholesterol--that becomes plaque.
Point is that just because the chicks are wet, it is not because of too much humidity. The stuff stuck on the chick is not water lol.
Yes, work on getting a more stable incubator. Fan forced is much better for that and make sure you have proper ventilation.
I am sorry you have to go through this with your babies. I have been there before--usually with shipped eggs which will do the same thing as yours because shipping stress will make them not absorb the yolk too.
