HI my chicken is having the same symtoms, she wouldnt perch, everything seems fine except she has trouble walking.... I am going to separate her from the others, give her vit b and e, yogurt and eggs. Let me know what else will help!!!

You 5 month hen is doing the same things. She's not laying eggs yet but I'm gonna go ahead and add some calcium as well as some vitamins and electrolytes.

I had a black giant hen do the same thing last year. Squirm toward feed and all. She was thought to have pulled her hip out of place because of an attack by a dog. We kenneled her and she even hatched a brood while in there but died shortly after. I don't really know what to tell except maybe work her legs see if you hear popping or find stiffness in her legs. Assuming she is standard size it is common for larger breeds to get arthritis in their joints. But not that drastic. I'm sorry I couldn't help more.

I'm so glad I found this very helpful thread. Thank you all you wonderful people for posting here!
I tried the vitamin B therapy and it worked for two out of three of my Silkies. However, one of those success stories has now slipped back to where she started. She can stand...but is wobbly on her feet. The multi B vitamins are expensive, so I'm wondering if anyone has had success with multi Vitamin B liquid form? Its much cheaper. Thanks so much
