Whats wrong with my sebright?

Do you think maybe she sprained her leg, if so it should heal up in time if she doesn't injure it.  Can't wait for the pics.

Idk but she is not arching her back anymore and isn't standing straight which is good! Now all that's left is her legs and get some weight in her.
Haven't read the whole thread, so sorry if you already said this... Is she vaccinated for Marek's?

I had to put my hen down the other day. She wasnt dragging her tail, but she was gasping very strangly, and was wobbling and was very weak. I tried giving her water, figuring she had a choke (ate too much too fast). It didnt help and she was dying slowly. I just decided to put her down. Your hen could of ate too much too fast, or she is trying to pass a egg but cant. If she is in pain and starving, i would put her out of her misery. Sorry about your hen.

Thank you Kathy! I could always use that! Did she really find a cure! OMG I'm going to be so happy!
Not sure which ones you read, but don't get your hope up, there is no cure for Marek's. I just posted that link so you could see articles on Sebrights and their susceptibility to Marek's.

We had to put, Arabelle, Arauccana down with Marek's. She was 16 weeks. The vet told me there is no blood test to determine if a chicken has Marek's and there are so many different strains that show different symptoms.

We kept Arabelle alive by hand feeding, but she couldn't walk or stand and was not getting better after 15 days. So she's in chicken heaven running around happy.

Let's hope it's not Marek's.
