Whats wrong with my speckled sussex?

Thanks. I am definitely thinking that vent gleet is the issue now. Today her vent area was again caked with fecal matter, and it seemed slimy and yellow-greenish, not as white and normal poopy looking like before. I bathed her again and the area looks pretty red. I applied a topical anti-fungal and will try the treatment on the link you provided.

Day 3 of epsom salt baths/topical anti-fungal cream/other home remedies and it seems like the cakey discharge/poo is decreasing slightly and becoming more normal in color, she also seems to be a little more energetic and I've been able to keep her eating a small amount of mash/garlic/yogurt/vinegar/epsom salts via handfeeding. Hoping she will be back to normal soon.

Feeding her epsom salts i believe gives them diahrea. I would stop giving her the salts. Is her bottom red looking, sore? Can she eat on her own and drink on her own? Can you post pictures of the poop and her vent?

I gave her only the recommended dose of epsom salt as directed by the link about treating vent gleet to detoxify the gut (she wouldn't even take it all), and other than that have just been using the epsom salt to soak her. Im constantly giving her fresh water but she isn't drinking a whole lot, and she needs encouragement for what she does drink. She had one short period of diarrhea since it is a laxative, but that has subsided. I think the yogurt is doing her bowel movements some good. Her bottom is a little red/irritated looking, but has been since the start of this whole situation due to the infection. I'm wondering if anyone thinks saline flushing her vent with a syringe might be beneficial? Overall she has perked up quite a bit, no more half-closed eyes etc. Her sister has been considerably more noisy since they've been apart! I took pictures of her/her bottom/ the discharge but whenever I try to upload it just keeps loading and loading and never goes through. I can try another time, we are having our internet fixed this week.

Thank you, her appetite has been increasing very gradually so I'm hoping that will continue! If not I definitely will try to tube feed. Here are the pictures I tried to post earlier today.

As Pwand recommended earlier worming with SafeGuard or Valbazen would be good for her. With vant gleet some of the runny stool can also be due to worms. SafeGuard horse paste is very inexpensive, and a 1/2 ml glob is all it takes, then repeat in 10 days.

Yes, most feed stores will carry SafeGuard or Panacur brands of 10% fenbendazole. The horse paste is inexpensive, but the SafeGuard Liquid Goat wormer is twice as much with many more doses, more for your money. Dosage is a pea size or 1/2 ml of either type of SafeGuard.
