What's wrong with my two chickens, help!

What do you feed them now?  If they are less than a month old(?) they are still chicks:)

You also mention in your opening question that you have had them outside for a couple of weeks and they have been fine - have you had a sudden change in temperature ? Then suddenly 2HENS are ill.  Are these chicks or hens?

Anyway if they are chicks then they would need heat and hydration.

FWIW - Most medicated chick starter contains Amprolium which helps to keep Cocci load low enough so that a bird can develop a natural immunity.  Amprolium is a Coccidiostat which is a Vitamin B1(Thiamine) blocker, it's only purpose it to help control cocci overload.  It is not an antibiotic.  Corid which is Amprolium does not fall under the new antibiotic rule.

I know that they don't count as an antibiotic and I've told that to the workers but they just denied me :/

Thanks to everyone who replied, I didn't have an extension cord for a heating lamp but it was 46 f last night which was the usual temperature that the chicks did well in. This morning I went to my coop and found one chick screaming as her wings were bent and wasn't moving, the other two chicks were not the corner on top of each other. I quickly brought them all in knowing that I should have brought them in yesterday night.

One did not make it and died this afternoon, he was a friendly buff roo and died by shielding one of the girls from the cold by being on the top and spreading his wings :(

Quote: I'm sorry that your feed store is like that. Some are. If you ever need Corid, you can purchase it online at Amazon, Ebay or somewhere like Jeffers Pet.

I'm sorry for your loss. Can you post a video or some photos of your chicks and their brooder? Would love to see them

Not at home currently but here's a picture of three of them a couple of hours ago who escaped to sit by me next to the heater. We are watching the movie la la land while doing so! :)

Those are definitely older than a month... I would go ahead and order up some Corid to run on them... medicated feed does not have enough Amprolium to treat Cocci...

Personally I would treat them with Corid like I initially posted. If you can't find any at the feed store, call a local vet to see if you can get some from them. You may have to have some express shipped from Amazon.

In the meantime, encourage drinking (keep them hydrated).

Let us know how they are doing.

I think I may have found some online. Tried another TSC but they told me the same thing? Hmm.

What do you both think the proper dosage for the chicks are?

And I would treat for severe at this point...

ETA: and DO NOT give vitamins or supplements during treatment... it will counteract the Amprolium...

Looks like they can get it at the Tractor Supply in Warrenton, VA is that near you?
http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/corid-20-amprolium-soluble-powder-10-oz?cm_vc=-10005

Corid dosage is 1 1/2 teaspoons Corid powder per gallon or 2 teaspoons of 9.6% Corid liquid per gallon. Give for 5-7 days - make sure this is the ONLY water available during that time period. Mix a fresh batch at least once a day.

After they finish treatment offer some poultry vitamins and probiotics/plain yogurt.
