These chickens are 6-8 weeks old, I was thinking mites but didn't see any. I went ahead and dusted with sevin dust. Any thoughts or ideas ?

Doesn't look like mites at all. Could they be plucking feathers from each other? Are they crowded in together and becoming aggressive? Are they getting enough protein in their starter food? Low protein will cause feather plucking and eating.

There is 20% protein in the feed, and 6 chickens in a 10'X20' pen right now. Could it just be part of the whole "pecking order" ?

I'm guessing that the face pic is not part of the problem on the beak? It might just be the fuzz wearing off and new feathers will come in. You can dust them just to be sure. But when the fuzz leaves , they do look awful and naked.

That one had been sneezing a little, just a little snotty nose. I didn't think nothing about it.
