Hello! I got this rescued chicken and it has these... dark red spots / scabs? I don't know how to call them, and so far I couldn't take a better picture because she's so scared she won't let me hold her. But hopefully you can see these lesions and let me know if they're... I don't know, early scaly mites? dermatitis? just scars from past injuries?

1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.) Plymouth Rock, 2 months old. I don't know her weight, but she seems to be okay in that aspect.
2) What is the behavior, exactly. She acts like a normal chicken. Maybe she prefers to lay on the ground more often than others? But she doesn't look "sick" to me, except for these injuries. She walks normally. She doesn't scratch.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? I just got her yesterday, so I don't know how long she's been having these injuries. They don't look new, in my opinion.
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms? I don't know anything about her previous flock.
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. She's kind of plucked, but maybe this is normal for 2 months old chickens? She could be changing her feathers. Or maybe she had a fight with other chickens.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. As a rescued chicken, she was living in bad conditions. I don't know the details.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. Before I got her? I don't know. Now I fed her normal starter feed. She eats (and drinks) normally. She's not interested in treats, but she's probably never seen one...
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. Nothing weird in her poop.
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? Just isolation in case this is something contagious. She was going to be quarantined anyway...
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? This looks like something I can treat myself.
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help. Done.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use. She's in this wooden old doghouse with pine shavings on the floor.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Could you please repost the photo and select "full size"? Only the feet show up when zooming in and the feet are out of focus.

How will you treat her if you can't handle her? Those marks look more like pecking wounds.

One of my hens used to bully some of the lower hens by pecking at their feet. It was crazy to deal with but after separating the naughty hen for a few days all has been well. Just a possibility. You’d just have to watch the chickens to figure out if that’s the problem. My naughty hen did it a lot when the lower ranked hens were laying eggs.

Hey! You were right, they were only pecking wounds. Confirmed by the vet (I could finally find one!).

Thanks everyone! My lady is not sick and I've been told she'll heal by herself.
