What's yalls favorite treats to give your chickens

I too, limit food scraps, but I give them fresh frozen veggies and fresh fruit on hot summer days to keep them cool. In the winter, I will hang whole cabbages to keep them busy. We don’t free range often, so my son will spend hours looking for insects and feeding them to our flock. During molting season I do provide occasion cans of cat food and plain Greek yogurt for a boost in protein.
Great to know. However where I'm at we get one cold day a year. So I'll keep the cold treats in mind for that. And my daughters will love bug hunting ( two birds one bug

I give mine fermented feed with frozen blueberries or raisins every morning sometime I sprinkle oats on top. In the afternoon I give them sprouts or fodder (mine don't free range due to neighbors dogs) of lentils, alfalfa or clover. Occasionally I'll hang a frozen ear of corn or cabbage but only every once in a while. They always have crumbles in their feeder. 90% of their diet consists of crumbles, dry and fermented.
