What's your favorite duck egg incubator?

I'm really really excited about getting 4 anconas in the spring, hoping all goes well with their shipping. They're straight run and I'm hoping to grow my flock from them. I'll need an incubator, but can't imagine hatching more than about 6 at a time, figuring a couple may not hatch out of those.

Thinking ahead here since my eggs/ducklings haven't even been laid yet.

So what are your favorites as far as incubators for small hatches?

Brinsea makes High-tech fully automated ones that I use. they have a tremendous hatch rate for me (92-100% over the past 3 years). I have a Brinsea R-COM 3 egg. All I have to do is plop three eggs in, add water to the humidity pump, select what kind of eggs they are, and it handle everything from there. It evens stops turning the eggs 3 or 2 days before they hatch~!!!! The one down side to the R-COMs is they can only hatch 3 eggs at a time, but they do make ones that can hold up to 20 or 40 eggs I believe.

XD I died! I'm curious about this too since we *HOPE* to get our ducks/chickens this year just need to get the coop and compost sites together!

Ha! Well, yes, definitely mama duck would be the best way to go, but I believe I read that Anconas are not likely to hatch their own brood. Hope I'm wrong tho, but preparing for non-mama anconas. It's a whole lot easier when they raise the chicks for you.

Brinsea and or R-com would be best choices IMO. Buy the best you can afford the first time and worry/stress less later.
