What's your favorite gun?

Of the ones I have, I tend to carry the .20 gauge where I go around the property...use the .22 to bump off the 'possoms...not fancy but those are my favs...if I had the bucks I would buy a "Judge" preferably with a 4 inch barrel...the one that blows .45 and a .410...no jamming on that one...I have had a 9mm and a few other automatics but they were so darn good at jamming I just prefer a revolver...if I can not stop what needs stopping with six rounds I just need to give up...
 
I have several guns that are favorites, but hubby got me the new Taurus Judge for Valentines and that dude is B-A-D. My next favorite is my Ruger Super Redhawk .44 mag with the nikon scope mounted on it. I kill a lot of deer with it.

It was a H&R break top 38. from about 1890 something. I was in the proses of copper plating it at the time.

I've been wanting to get into shooting for awhile now. My dad isn't a big fan of guns, especially since he's spent 25 years as a cop. I've asked him to take me to the range and he hasn't been real receptive to the idea.

We do have a local range that holds a monthly women's shoot night. I'm thinking of going there with a few friends over winter break and learning a thing or two. Up where I live a lot of people hunt, but I spend a good majority of my time at a college where there are very, very, very few people who are into guns or shooting as a sport.
 
I guess it would have to be the only one that will work. My grandpa's 22 rifle. I have a really old double barrel 16 gauge. But, I can't shoot it, it has a spiral barrel and they no longer make shells for it.

I need to get a gun. I can shoot somewhat, but all I've shot are my father's guns. Between all the men in my family, we have more than enough guns. My grandfather collects them. Buys them at auction and such.

I shouldn't have too much trouble picking one out. I should call dad and ask what his favorite is...
 
I like the Springfield XD 9 and 45, but my nails are often too long to pull the slide back without breaking something. So in that case, I like the little plinker of a marlin 60.
