What's your favorite hatchery catalog?

Hmmm.... I think....

Welps pictures are too small.

Mcmurray needs real pictures.

and Strombergs needs better layout.

But even though they have flaws, I ALWAYS look at them...

Randall Burkeys has a nice layout, but not enough pictures.

The photos that Cackle uses aren't all their own birds either.

Yes, I read the small print but the photos are still nice. If I were designing a catalog, I would at least use the very best photos available, not whatever I had on hand. But I love taking pictures.

I keep Cackle and McMurray beside my table to just keep going through both of them to "look". McmMurray has wonderful histories of the breeds and Cackle has actual photos of the breeds.

i like the nasco catalog, though not a poultry or hatchery catalog, a good all around the farm catalog

Yes, I agree that the photos are nice, but I just feel like it's false advertising since I imagine 99% of the people who order from them expect the chicks they get to grow up to look like those pictures and 99.9% of the time they won't. I think they should have to use pictures of the birds that came from the parent stock they use.

They take pictures of other peoples birds, but the birds from Cackle are sometimes show quality I hear.

i got some bantam cochins from cackle and they were prty good bq and then i bred them and i think i ended up with a few sq ones. mt birds looked very close to the photos
