Mine's seeing and reading about how money-saving pallets are used. There have been lots of coops and other pallet structures that are/were truly ingenious done by BYC members.

I like the new breeds on anything cochin. I also like chickens with weird deformities, like the chicken with 4 legs or two sets of wings !

I like hearing about success stories of chickens that had problems, chicken breeds, emergencies and things to do about feeding your flock.

I'm with Joe, I like to see how people have applied brains and brawn to meet their needs and be creative, yet thrifty. Toss in an artistic bent with a sense of humor and I am delighted.

I go through the recent postings list but my favorite section is the livestock/other animals & the non chicken birds which is strange considering that chickens are my favorite of any animal or bird in the world.

Creativity in solving problems. And bad situations taken with a grain of salt and a big dose of humor.

The gems of posts with photographs of poultry doing things.... especially free ranging. But any poultry picture usually makes me smile.
