"How To's" on anything.....coops,runs,feeding,growing stuff, caring for healthy and sick birds....especially interesting to how/what can be recycled, re-used, made or just improvised......

And best with pics or detailed instructions for folks like me that sometimes 'just don't get it'....

Hi! My favorite kind of post is one when I ask a question like "why am I getting non-barred chicks from 2 barred parents" and someone (or several someones) takes the time to explain how the barring gene is inherited just one more time AND I finally GET IT.
It's not something I'd really thought about, but I only read in the meat bird section on mornings when I'm about to go out and butcher roosters --- helps me get my nerve up. Not a 'favorite' type thing but I appreciate the mental reinforcment.
