What's your favorite sandwich?

Quote:
The original Rueben had Russian dressing on it, but 1000 Island dressing has become just as common, at least in New York. The sandwich supposedly originated there and that's where I first encountered it.

Ive decided we're having Ruebens for dinner tomorrow!

I have a gallon bucket of fresh organic kraut in my fridge! It is exceptional kraut for the sandwiches. We get it from this guy whose family makes it seasonally.

I have to agree with everyone who's saying reuben! There's a little bar by me that makes amazing reubens, I go there instead of the closest place because theirs are awful. Mmm, now I want one.

My favorites are:
1- Reuben Reuben Reuben Reuben Reuben
2-Italian Sub
3-BLT
4-Homemade Egg Salad

I'll sick to the reuben as #1, but I also have a seasonal favorite - tomatoes out of the garden sandwiched between dark rye with mayo....yummmm

Mid -east chicken salad Made like regular chicken salad but with ranch dressing in place of mayo and artichoke hearts instead of celery. I sometimes add sliced almonds but you must make it a few hours before so the almonds soften. This is great on rye bread or as a roll-up sandwhich.

Grilled peanut butter - like a grilled cheese, only with peanut butter - the cheap Save a Lot brand works good in this. (more expensive brands don't make much dif n the sandwich.)

My son likes his with bananas, too.
