What's your favorite sandwich?

butter, peanut butter and honey.

on soft bread so that it can be folded without breaking ..

then you gotta seal all the edges so the honey can't leak out and eat it like a soft shelled taco..

Tomato Basil tortilla. Spread half with cream cheese, other half layer pepperoni, salami, red onion, bell pepper, tomato, and a ton of baby spinach. Roll and YUMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! This is my kids' favorite, too.

Avocado, ripe real tomato, alfalfa sprouts, and Bermuda onion, all doused with my special vinagrette dressing, on a couple slices of fresh, REAL whole wheat- wheat berries and all.

When I was in college a million years ago, a friend made me a sandwich- sounds weird, but is actually good!

Cold boiled potato, thinly sliced
Onion, thinly sliced
cream cheese, sliced
mayo
all on some very thinly sliced whole wheat bread.

Better than it sounds!

A genuine Rueben. Not one of those wannabe Ruebens, with mustard (bleeccccchhh!) and only a few slices of dried out meat.

Here's how to make the real deal Rueben:

- 6 oz. Corned beef... it should be freshly sliced across grain.
Grill it lightly prior to making the sandwich
- Palmful of sauerkraut... good deli style
- 2 or 3 oz. Swiss Cheese... sliced thickly.
- 1000 island dressing... none of that low-fat junk, either. Use the good stuff.
- Rye bread... Jewish rye, with caraway seeds. Get the big loaf.

Slather the dressing generously on two pieces of bread, and then heap the other ingredients on. No skimping allowed... you can eat rice cakes and celery tomorrow.
Butter both sides of the bread and grill the sandwich, using a griddle weight as you grill it.
Serve spittin' hot with dill pickle spears, coleslaw and a cold beer.
