Whats your guess RIR or Barred Rock egg, or no way to tell yet?

Out of my9 pullets Ive had 1 golden comet laying 1 egg a day for about weeks. All nice dark brown. Today I was surprised with three eggs. 2 dark brown and his light colored egg. I have looked at images for RIR and Barred Rocks and have seen similar eggs from both breeds. Does this stand out to any of you as one or the other or could it be either of them.

Plymouth Rock lay a pale egg like Orpington. Production Reds/RIR lay a darker egg like Comets and Red Star.

The first day I had an egg laid it was from a comet, when I removed that egg there was a RIR sitting in another box, 10 minutes later there was an egg in there, the same dark color. That was 2 weeks ago and so far I have gotten one egg every day, I think from the comet. I thought it was odd that the RIR laid one egg 2 weeks ago and from what I have seen has not laid again. Maybe her and the comet are alternating days but the eggs I am getting each day are almost identical.

When I looked online at RIR egg images I saw some that were pale in color so I wasn’t sure. Plus I figured the other comets and RIR’s would start laying before the Barred Rocks just based on what I had read about when they “typically” start laying. I know there are always exceptions.

I had Red Sexlinks, Black Sexlinks, Hatchery RIR (production reds) and hatchery Barred Plymouth Rock. All gotten same time and all started laying in 22-24 weeks.

Thanks, three more today. Hopefully within a few weeks,(warmer weather and longer days) they will all take off laying.
