Whats your thoughts on pushy sellers?

I pretty much work out something with anyone who is wanting to buy from me. On the other hand
if I let them make up their own "configuration" of birds they do pay slightly more and they know it
beforehand and so far I have had no complaints. Also a lot of my buyers are repeat buyers.
Just today I took a large cage with 18 three month old roosters in it to the local sale barn and
got rid of all of them to one person. Which where we live, we have a lot of people when they
hear the word "FREE" they come running to get whatever is free no matter what it is. I gave these away
because right now with all the heat and humidity we are having in south Louisiana it is so dang
hard to put any weight on the yard birds to get them to a suitable weight to put in the freezer. So in
the long run it is cheaper for me to give away excess roosters rather than feeding them just to keep them healthy
and from starving to death.
Doing this has so far paid off for me the past 3 years. But I do do a lot of things different from everyone else.

We went to a sale a couple months ago. I had I think 4 roos and 2 hens. 1 pair went quick, and the other roosters went quick except one. So I was stuck with a pair. This lady came over and asked how much for just the hen, I told her I sell them in pairs but if she wanted just the hen she would be $30, (pair was $40). She gasped and rolled her eyes. I felt like saying go over there and pick up a couple of those nasty hatchery silkies with hardly any feathering. She left and another lady came over, fell in love with her, and I let her take her. She had no problem paying $30. A couple min. later the other lady came back wanting her. Ha. Too bad shes gone now. The other rooster flew after that. For some reason the silkies roosters were going fast that day. I was sure id be bringing them back home. Thats another thing that bugs me, when people want a quality bird, for a hatchery bird price. Yea right!
