Hi

I have cortunix quails. 2 hand raised. 1 male and 1 female. I have 2 new females.

The male decides he wants rumpy pumpy and all hell breaks loose.

Is if normal for the male to have to chase his hens?

He is also very vocal.

That's quite normal for coturnix quail. As long as he's not injuring them, he should be fine.
