Wheezing Cockerel

Hello All,
My cockerel (Hats) has been crowing every morning, on schedule. everytime he crows, he takes in a little breath and it sounds a little wheezy. Does anyone know what this may be?

Also, the wheezing only happens after he crows and takes in a breath. The wheezing sounds relatively similar to the sound of a rubber duck squeaking. I have not recently gotten any new chickens he could have gotten any illness from, but I do let him free range. Maybe he ate something weird?
