Wheezing with evevry breath....

I am no vet or anything but my suggestion is whenever introducing new animals to your flock you should always isolate them for at least 2 weeks to make sure they aren't sick. Since you already have you should seperate the sick ones from the others. Wash down everything from nesting boxes to feeders and the coop as well if you can. Use a solution of water and Lysol. Lysol kills a lot of germs and viruses. If you have a plastic waterer try this. This really seems to help. Put two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar per gallon of water into their waterer's. Do this for a few days to a week and see if they don't stop the wheezing and sneezing.

I agree on the quarantine and up it 2 weeks as some diseases have a 21 day incubation period. That gives you 21 days for it to catch, 10 days for us to realize that there's a problem.

So should I stop the antibotic and start the apple cider or add this to it? I have cleaned the coop daily and changed the nesting. This one that is still sick was the last one to get sick. Everyone else seems to be fine now and not all got sick. I seems the temps and humdity seems to have something to do with this. We had over 100 degrees the last week and a heat index of 100 plus and no air movement. Tonight we had a front move in and dropped the temps down to 85 with good air movement. All where out in the yard "grazing" and chasing things tonight. I seems to bother me that they seem to sleep so much. Is this normal?

No, don't stop the antibiotics. Don't mix it. Just use the VetRx til the antibiotics are done, then you can add apple cider vinegar (Organic only please because of its action) to the water (1 teaspoon per gallon).

Even if symptoms go away, finish the antibiotic to at least 7 days if not 10 (unless it's TYlan50 which is 3 days infection, or otherwise noted on the bottle like SUlmet is 5 days).

They're probably acting sleepy because they're still jsut healing.
