I just noticed one of my hens was not feeling good. My first clue was she was inside on the roost while the others were in the run visiting with me. When I went to see why she was in there she started cooing at me and it sounded like she is breathing through a mucousy nose. There is no discharge and she seems to be sneezing or coughing. I can't tell which. Any advice from all the pros here? An antibiotic or vitamin supplement I should give her? I've brought her inside my house and am going to check on the rest of the flock right now.

No one else has the "stuffy nose" sound when they breath. I live in AZ and its incredibly warm already so its not from cold weather. Also I noticed a few of my hens have.black spots on their waddles and combs. Don't know if it is related or what its from

Unfortunately I am unable to open the link. My phone doesn't support pdfs and that is what it is trying to open it as., and my phone is my only internet. I can't figure out how to get the video uploaded either

Ok so I went and got some duramycin-10 and mixed 3/4 of a teaspoon into a quart of water. She doesn't seem to want to drink. I got a little down her throat with a dropper but she doesn't want to eat or drink. I also picked up a vitamin/electrolyte powder mix to try and boost her immune system but am unsure if this will effect the antibiotics. Do I mix the vitamins in with the antibiotic/water mixture I've already made up? How often do I check on her. She is in my house right now. None of the other birds seem sick right now but I did read I should treat the whole flock as a preventative measure.please someone help me. She seems to be getting worse.

I bring them home alfalfa from the feed cart at my ranch where I work. I just brought them home some about 4 days ago. Could this be the culprit? I got some more water/med mixture in her and now she is alseep on a roost pole I brought in for her in my laundry room. Should I be waking up and making her drink more of the medicine or wait till the morning?

I would get some Tylan powder to mix in her water. I had some chicks with a sneeze problem, started out with the Duramycin-10 , it did nothing. So I got the tylan. I would treat everybody just to be on the safe side.
