Whelping box?

Has anyone built one before?
I need plans so I can get one built before the 20th.
Should have puppies the following weekend.

Kids plastic pools work great and are easy to clean/disinfect Costs less than $10 at most stores. I have always kept away from wood, the thought of not getting all the fluids out of a porous surface skeeves me out.

It will only be used the one time.
Kiddie pools freak me in a puppy getting caught behind mom and smothered. That is why I wanted a whelping box as it has that lip around the edge to protect the pups.

It's just a box with sides high enough to keep the pups in and let the female come and go
I'd make it large enough so she can stretch out in any direction

If you want to make it fancy, you can, but it's still just a box

I have no plans but I seen a whelping box somewhere I will look for it....cute puppies.

you can build one in about an hour from some 2x12 they come in 8 foot sections and you will need each wall to be four feet.

So that means you'll only need two of them. Then use 2x4's for the inner railing. Its easy to do if you have a saw and a good electric screwdriver with some larger screws. And since you are only using it one time you can then put it on craiges list and sell it.
