when a egg is not a egg

One of my chooks is laying really , really weird eggs, they are really not eggs as such and so far no one can tell me what they are. They are odd shaped, have a thick rubber like covering and the inside is Ahhhhhhhhh............ smelly, weird stuff , no yolk or white. What is it?? help are they from another planet.
