When another driver flashes their lights at you.....

Last time I flashed my lights at oncoming cars was because a transformer had broken off a power pole, laying live wires accross the road! I had been meandering down our winding blind-curve road when the explosion occurred a couple hundred feet in front of me, and one of the wires was hanging 2' above my car by the time I was able to stop (which, believe me, was ASAP!). I backed out of there, with my hazards on and my heart thumping out of my chest, as close to the non-existant shoulder as I could. 2 cars came flying around the corner (I KNEW that was going to happen!) and HONKED at me, went around, and slammed on THEIR brakes when they realized they would die if they didn't! Anyway, I was the first one heading back in other direction, and flashed every oncoming car frantically. Finally found a place to pull over and call 911.

And, of course, I always flash to warn of critters!
